Someone call Sofia Coppola!

Whenever I take a phone call in front of anyone, the usual reaction is "What... happened?!?!" Because my phone, which is one of those godawful pink phones which I got because well, the black was a boy's phone, has the following problems:

1. A web of cracks over the screen, so I can't tell whether I'm dialing "0" or "8"
2. A chunk of glass missing as the result of those cracks (which, in turn, are the result of my working in a dog-grooming salon which involved me carrying various canines in various stages of panic attacks around a room with a concrete floor... not, not good for those days when you've got to have your phone in your back pocket) which would be good for self-defense but otherwise just really poses a hazard.
3. Various accumulations of purse-gunk which come from said cracks/missing chunks
4. chipped paint--see #2

But, I mean, it works, and I don't want to shell out more money for both a phone and an iPod, because my phone's iTunes is pretty much all I can listen to in my 2000-edition car which only has a tape player, and I'm a cheapskate--funny for one who writes a fashion blog, huh?

But seriously? I would shell out my tax return for one of these phones LC posted about the other day. Good thing I haven't even done my taxes.

I am really, honestly obsessed with flower things right now. Maybe just because it's near Valentine's day and Luella's got it going on, but I had a rose mocha today, like coffee and chocolate and flowers together? And I seriously wanted to write a poem about it. And after declaring "cupcake" to be my favorite word, I'm just a girly mess.

I was just looking at LC's post the other day also... But wow, that phone is bedazzled to no end. I want to go to Japan so that they can put crazy rhinestones and pearls on my nails.

Loved this post! The cellie is pretty nice. I don't know if I'd have it, but I like it.

And if the phone works, so be it! I have a camera phone with a radio and I never use the camera anymore nor the radio because you need your headset for it.

I would be too scared to use that phone in case I dislodged every decor at the front. I'm pretty haphazard with my phone - I just leave it everywhere.

Yes! Fight e-waste!
Fido just tried to give me a new free phone and I was all like pffff mine still works fine thanks....even though I've dropped it down the stairs a million times.
I bet the new one would break faster.

Did you see Food Network's wedding cake decorating contest yesterday? They featured a sugar decorating show where a lot of the technique was all about the edible sugar flowers...YUMYUMYUM! And GORGEOUS.

I have a pebl and I've dropped it approximately 3x a week since getting it. So it's a testament of craftsmanship that nothing's been broken.

Cute phone!

My phone is like yours, a horrible mess. Except, my screens not cracked, just ridiculously scrathced and I snapped of three antennas, everytime I replaced it, itd somehow break.

Mine isn't from panicky dogs though, im just a clutz.

Cupcake IS a great word.

Part of me thinks that those glammed up phones are tacky and disgusting, another part of me wants one and wonders if they are edible...

I love the way the phone has been decorated, and I think it's great, even if it's completely crazy but I couldn't handle actually on my phone. But I'd love something else of mine decorated that way.

Not sure how it works in the USA... but do you guys not get free upgrades? We get free phones once you've completed an 18 month contract...

I'm not one for embellishment but these are HOT!

I'm super cheap. Which phone do you have? I'm assuming it's the ROKR? My phone cracked the other day, but probably not as big as yours. Actually, the crack is very small.

That phone from LC looks like a hot mess.

How cute and, more importantly, Spring-y! I hate getting new phones--I just got a Blackberry Pearl and am very against it as my old, beautiful phone has Scrabble.
Perhaps my priorities are outta wack? Eh...

Wow... that phone is out of this world.

this phone is adorable! I mean, calling it a phone might even be offending. a piece of art it is. ;)

I lost my heart to all things flowery, too, I need to have a close look into the mirror every now and then so that there isn´t the chance for people to confuse me with my gran.
wonder what her wardrobe hides..

xx, isa

Haha!! This is great! Sometimes I feel like I'm a girly mess too! I am totally digging that phone too! Super fancy ~ it reminds me of something Marie Antoinette would carry around (if they had cell phones!)!

Rose mocha, I'd like to try that! Maybe with a cupcake... mmmmm!

That cellphone is just amazing!!! It's gorgeous!

If that phone were mine, I'd probably try to eat it, because that's how much it resembles a blinged-out wedding cake. But my phone is a cheap one, and thankfully Nokia make theirs tough otherwise it wouldn't have survived so much as a day in my hands..

That phone is gorgeous.

I think my friend has the best cellphone story though, in short he drove almost an hour and a half with it on the roof of his car before breaking suddenly to miss a deer, then it decided to fly off the roof and under the deer. It still works but he needs to keep it together with an elastic band.

whaou this cell phone is gorgeous i would like to have the same in my bag :)

LBIC said...

Oooh those are pretty. I need a new phone too. I accidentally got dog shampoo on it and now it won't turn on. My old phone was worse. I lost the back to it and the keys wouldn't work so I held it together with a hair elastic.

That phone looks like it belongs to a woman over 70 who leaves peppermint candy in a little crystal dish on her coffee table and plays the organ.
