Is it possible to find transcendence in the pages of Nylon magazine?

Yes.

Go listen to the Super Furry Animals' "Hey Venus." I don't care how. Just do. It's like, if Labyrinth-era David Bowie met the Olivia Tremor Control and they became best friends and bought a castle in Wales and decorated the inside with paisley velvet and exotic animals and did nothing but make music all day.

Yes. It really is that good.

And the girl's outfit in the video is not too bad either... kind of like Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome which apparently is a big fashion inspiration this season, but longer and clean and greek-goddess-y.

Yes I did meet him! They came to my college and we waited around backstage for them. I actually sent them a message over Myspace (because I'm smooth like that) and Chris Funk answered me saying that if we waited for them afterwards in the parking lot they'd be there. And they were! And I met Colin, and he put his arm around me. Mmmm, delicious.

And yes, that video did fill my day with smiles.

The sight of David Bowies junk in Labyrinth has probably scarred many a child viewer.
