I absolutely love that July book. Ten True Things was my favorite story. What I liked about her writing was the flow and what seemed to be a lack of posturing. You had the sense that she just sat down and typed something out, rather than niggling over a word. This was my most enjoyable literary find this year.
She is so adorable. I was selling some clothes at a local consignment shop not too long ago and she was in line next to me. I loved watching them go through her clothes. It was like a little glimpse into her closet!
Her website is one of my favorite internet things ever. I used to show it to people all the time, which was awkward for them because I would hover behind them trying not to giggle as I knew what was coming.
I suck at taking naps, no joke. But when I've got Ira Glass telling me a bedtime story, it's a cinch to just lay back and relax and learn a little bit more about This American Life I'm living. Pretty much every episode ever made is online for free, and it's my goal to listen to all of them!

haha, i just saw your 'book' on the left- hella clever!
Books are so stylish. You know those versions of classics with flowers on the cover? They're genius.

that last one is so funny. i though Me You and Everyone You Know was kind of annoyingly affected/precious, but her books seem great.
haha the post just reinforces the idea that books do make the coolest accessory!
and yes, the photos are from a tire company, hard to believe isn't it?

Very cool!
so you hate working in a library? I always thought it would be sorta fun and I could feel like a real scholar all the time, haha.
If I could, I would buy books to stack in my house. They would be in color coordinated piles, on bookshelves and chairs. Just like in magazines...
So cool! Great post!

haha thats too funny! have your books match your outfits - new rule! lol
I wish I was her. I couldn't really get through her book, but she's just so cool anyway.
This is rather loveable!
I'm afraid that after being rather intrigued by July's Me You And Everyone We Know, I was thoroughly disappointed.
I just found it incredible try hard.
Having said that, this has given her extra cool points in my mind.
i loved the whole website! it was so "undesigned" it was almost anti design.

Sometimes things look better when you look at them differently. Here:maybe this book is not a masterpiece, but certainly it is worth a read or two even if you’re not really reading but only looking at your hands…i really don’t think Miranda July would mind.
